When i'm eight-times-eight...

TMone, a telesales and database marketing partner of 8x8, Inc., yesterday announced plans to add resources to its Packet8 Virtual Office direct sales division specifically for the needs of the small business.

Though 8x8 just recently announced its 5,000 customer of the Virtual Office server, as My VoIP News noted yesterday, the firm has had a couple of rough quarters recently. Likely a response, the company is taking on a greater commitment to the small business market.

Thanks to TMone, 8x8 is now able to outsource some sales and customer service functions. TMone uses a combination of inbound and outbound telesales and database marketing to acquire new subscribers for voice and data companies in the consumer and business markets.

TMone representatives also announced their firm will be adding many new direct VoIP sales specialists to the SMB VoIP sales division, and specifically to Packet8. The new agents will be blended to support inbound calls, e-mail inquiries and outbound prospecting.
